Pool Iniside or Outside?

In a location where the climate allows use of a pool outdoors for 4 months of the year would you rather have an indoor or outdoor pool?

Indoor: Use all year round

Outdoors: Enjoy the pool outside under the sun

What do you think?

Harmon 06-06-2005 09:26 AM

I say make the fucker heated with half indoor - half outdoor... so even in the snow you can still swim! Watch those electric bills...

Thrawn$ 06-06-2005 09:26 AM

half, 75% inside 25% outside
so you can swim even when the climate is very cold since :thumbsup

mindoza 06-06-2005 09:27 AM

can I have both? I mean why choose.

tony286 06-06-2005 09:28 AM

if I had the choice inside ,never use a bathing suit again lol

TMM_John 06-06-2005 09:28 AM

No half and half.

Why would you need a bathing suit outside more than inside?

wallst 06-06-2005 09:29 AM

outside, in addition to the waterfall kit

MikeVega 06-06-2005 09:30 AM

John ... I've been to your home and i like the location of the pool .... it's a lot like mine. open area .... nice trees around it ...good scene ... I'm assuming it has a heater ... that extended my pool usage ... an Indoor pool sounds good but it takes away from being out side ...next thing you know your laying on a raft watching TV ... outside the lighting changes .. the wind ... makes it different every time .. If you can do both them go for it ..or have a top that opens ...nice ... :winkwink:

Mine is outside and I don't have to wear one :winkwink:

I say put it inside with a retractable roof. Or do the half in half out thing.

Ice 06-06-2005 09:34 AM

Why not just have both John? Ya already have a pimp setup outside for a pool.... just add one inside now

Thanks Mike :)

Having a little inter-office argument since Charlie's is indoors. I personally prefer outdoors as the feel of it is totally different. Only way I would go for inside is with a retractable roof.

Hope you and your guys can make it on the 18th.

FilthyRob 06-06-2005 09:40 AM

Indoor if that's your situation

I'm looking forward to coming out ..always good to see the Jersey boys ... i have to agree with you then .. outside is a better experience ... :thumbsup

You can get something like http://aquashieldonline.com/. I am sure other companies have nicer looking ones.

MandyBlake 06-06-2005 10:03 AM

i would get an indoor/outdoor pool. then you can use it all year round.

Trax 06-06-2005 10:09 AM

if i HAD to chose btw ONLY ind/outd i'd choose outdoor

wildgirl 06-06-2005 10:32 AM

What do you think?

We really enjoy our pool, which is outdoors.

I think that's the beauty of having an outdoor pool.

You could always build an indoor lap pool for when the weather is bad.

After Shock Media 06-06-2005 10:54 AM

Inside, outside, front yard or back yard. I just drag my pool where I want it and fill it up.

Antonio 06-06-2005 10:56 AM

do you have kids? if the answer is yes, then build it outside

if the answer is no then you don't need a pool

LOL. This was becuase of an office argument not becuase of any building plans.

However, I have no kids, mine is outside, and I do enjoy it :)

SGS 06-06-2005 11:16 AM

We just have a hot tub now as we get a lot more use out of it than we ever did with the pool. Its outside and fantastic even on those long dark cold English winter evenings. :thumbsup

LittleSassy 06-06-2005 11:17 AM

i think half and half is not a bad idea...:)

Sosa 06-06-2005 11:24 AM

if you can do a retractable roof I would do that.

Wiggles 06-06-2005 11:26 AM

indoor ones tend to leak and cause problems with foundation, my buddy has one and we are doing work on it constantly.

OMG that was friggen hilarious!!

John, given the option & if I could afford it, I'd have both or find a brilliant architect that can make it convertible while keeping it an outdoor during the summer and making it indoor during the winters

Raven 06-06-2005 11:31 AM

We live in the great Northwest. If I were to EVER have a pool again, which I don't really want....it would have to be indoors to be of any use.

Terry 06-06-2005 11:42 AM

I prefer to enjoy the sun so I would say outdoors with a heater so you can enjoy it for a couple of months more... assuming you need it.

NTSS 06-06-2005 11:43 AM

Why not just get 2 pools?

Pete-KT 06-06-2005 11:43 AM

Make it indoor and outdoor get a retractible roof on it.

adonthenet 06-06-2005 11:47 AM

indoor ! rules

naugthygUrL 06-07-2005 02:50 AM
