They just called - they accepted my offer on my new house!! (PICS!!)

Well, I have been eyeballing this jib for about 2 months. The owners were VERY stuck on their price, even though my guy said that the place had a few issues to the tune of 30 large. Anyways, they finally agreed to my terms and here we go... should be in the place in about 35-45 days! :thumbsup

Steen2 06-05-2005 06:58 PM

Very nice!

Congrats.

Now you need to decorate it/hire an interior designer.

Rob 06-05-2005 07:03 PM

A house like that in the Tampa area will run around $900,000 - $1,000,000.

Mako 06-05-2005 07:10 PM

I like it, nice classic look.

It's clearly older, and why the builder didn't make that 2-car garage a 3-car garage is beyond me, but the fundamentals are there. As others have said, it's going to need a good $50k+ in costs to bring it up to modern 2005 levels. I say that because the kitchen clearly needs it in that photo, and that means the master bath will as well for sure.

Go a bit further and put 10% of the purchase price into that house and it will look like it belongs on Cribs.

Congrats!

Nahhh. Our house is over 4000 square feet, and it was half that to build last year. Of course, that was not including the land. We already owned that. Depending on the property, that could make the price rise quite a bit.

Furious_Male 06-05-2005 07:16 PM

Congrats :)

I think you should be able to build for $1.25 per sq. ft. no matter where you are. unless you're out of civilization of course. Or have to ship the supplies/workers far. Sounds about right. But that house has a nice old look. I like it.

NaughtyRob 06-05-2005 07:17 PM

Congrats bro.
:thumbsup

MandyBlake 06-05-2005 07:18 PM

very nice house
congrats!

Adam-EB 06-05-2005 07:18 PM

EDIT TO MY POST ABOVE: Then again, there are areas around Tampa that are very expensive (for this area). We don't live in an expensive subdivision ourselves. We opted for acreage out in the country.

Actually, from what you said I can understand why you might come to that conclusion from the pictures, but rest assured you are wrong. The house is all dark wood. Crown molding and chair guards everywhere. I'll get some pictures of the master bath tomorrow, but you see the tower in the middle? That's a 4 person Jacuzzi with a high cathedral ceiling inlaid in all marble... Like I said, I'll get some pics or vid

xXxtreme2005 06-05-2005 07:20 PM

Oh, I forgot to mention it's on the side of I-95... There are no guards at the gate... They do not video YOU as you come in, but they catch everyone in your car and your plates in and out. There is no security system, nor so I intend on getting one...
