About your 2257 concerns with model's addresses and so forth...

I've been shooting content for...oh....At least 3 weeks now so I think I have enough experience to justify the following statement.

Of the hundreds of I.D.'s that I have collected...About 4 of them had the models current address on them at the time of production.

Models tend to change their addresses more often than the average GFYer takes a shower.

Passing out the model's real name alone is a legitimate concern but the address issue is not something that I run into often. So what if I give out an I.D. that has an old address on it? More info can be gathered from their real name than from a previous address.

Interesting issue. It does highlight the burdensome factor.

baddog 06-05-2005 04:28 PM

That reminds me . . . I need to go take a shower.

GatorB 06-05-2005 04:28 PM

Please show me in the regs where it says you NEED to have the models address or phone number? Last time I check the DOJ wants a PICTURE a REAL NAME and a DOB. Preferably all on the same government document.

Nismo 06-05-2005 04:31 PM

So, I CAN'T stalk the models?

How about if you just STFU about this issue? Half the time you make a little sense but the other half you are a complete fucking retard.

The number one form of I.D. in the U.S. is a drivers license. Licenses contain addresses.

Now, go play in the street.

Sly 06-05-2005 04:33 PM

My "drivers license" doesn't have my current address on it. Does that make me a model?

You know man....I usually try to be humorous with you but you made this one far too easy and I would actually feel bad if I take advantage of this situation and post what just came to mind.

Thanks for the laugh though.

which brings us back to the point whether addresses on IDs can be blackend or not. the law says that sufficient information must be provided to identify the person - and the comment of the DOJ says that it would be too "burdonsome" for the the primary producer to sanitize the documents. which it is certainly not - only if you need to provide sanitized and notarised (spelling?) copies - where the question would be: why that? cause in the age of digital documents like PDF files it's easy to erase an adress and provide the original document in case of an investigation of the DOJ. and still the missing address cannot be the problem when name and DOB are clearly visible.

this is true - most hardcore porn girls are nomads - addresses and phone numbers have a short shelf life.

with girls who do softcore, many of them are relatively stable girls and do remain in one place living at home with their families.

I have absolutely no idea what you're thinking or talking about, but glad you got a laugh about it?

I was talking to somebody the other day who made the same point you did above. Models are not exactly the typical citizen. They don't get jobs and live a regular life. They're gypsies, what they do one day can be totally different from the next.

And now that I think about it, most young people period have the wrong address on their ID.

MaDalton....I'm very aware of all that and I am waiting to hear from legal council to see what options they suggest.

Exactly.

In the case of my average model...They are 18 to 22 years old and their licenses were issued when they were around 16 or 17. Most of them move a time or two after that.

X37375787 06-05-2005 04:51 PM

Last time I checked a passport doesn't carry the holder's address. Would a passport not be considered a sufficient ID?

studio 06-05-2005 04:51 PM

AaronM,

I agree with you 100% the address is really nothing... It's putting the real name with the face that is the problem... IMHO, any law maker that would require this to be done, is scummier than anyone in the adult industry...

Gator... please read the above statement. What do you think? Do you really think every model has a passport? Ive never got a passport as ID from a model..... ever. Dude, wake up. You clealy have never shot a model before. Damn! Its not the address at all for it certainly will be the wrong one, its the license number and full name that is a concern. You can get 100% of the models info from just the number. No name even needed.

Back to banging my head against the wall at your every post.

A passport is the perfect I.D.

Unfortunately..The average U.S. model does not have one. The application process takes awhile and many of these models want or need to shoot to make the money ASAP, not in 2 months after they receive their passports.

I don't have a passport. How many broke models do you think have passports? I'm sure passports are much more common in Europe, but not the United States.

Which reminds me, I need to get one soon...

And you can't black out the address? The 2257 rules say primary producers are not REQUIRED to black out the adresses it's doesnt say you CAN'T black them out. Does that mean you CAN? Who fucking knows. Since you have an attorney may I suggest you bring the issue up to him/her.

I know and understand your sense of humor but suggesting...even as a joke...that my models are bums is not funny to me....Especially if a potential client reads your statement and takes it seriously. Remember...GFY if full of people who take things the wrong way.

there is some truth in that - in fact lots of my girls still go to school or university and no one of their families or friends know what they are doing. that's why we have a clause in the releases that says that the content will not be published in Czech Republic (print magazines). and we always ask our (exclusive) customers to block czech ip addresses.

but of course the danger of actually getting stalked is way smaller for them because of the fact that they are over here in europe and out of reach - compared to the US girls.

Show me where I mentioned the word PASSPORT. See that's what I'm fucking talking about. People getting pissy at me for thing I NEVER said.

As far all the full name well the 2257 requires the full name. WTF do you want ME to do about it? But if you have been shooting models you have to have that info already for years so why bitch about that now? And wouldn't a passport have a models name on it?

That is something I have never really understood. US citizens rarely have passports, in European countries you can't even be without one I think.

Getting one issued does not even take that long if done properly. 2-3 weeks, even faster if you pay 60-some dollars.

Because most Americans never travel outside the US and if they do they go to Canda or mexcio which until recently I don't think you even needed one. I've never been outside the US don't ever plan to be, so why do I need a passport for? I think offical government #'s are about 20-25% of Americans have passports.

at least in Czech Rep. 90% of the girls have a Passport and an ID Card - both in Czech and English language. the rest has just the ID - and since only one is required that's fine too - both contain no home address.

but i have seen content provided from Russia with something like Passports in cyrillic writing - you can't read shit on them. i'm curious to see how that will work out

I think to expedite a passport in the U.S. through the post office, it costs $187.30 and takes 3 weeks or so. Otherwise it a couple of months.

In Europe...Everybody has a passport. It's my understanding..and I may be incorrect about this...That to travel between European countries that you need a passport. In the U.S....We do not need a passport to travel between states. I know a lot of people who have never even been out of their home states. Going to Mexico, the Caribbean, or Canada does not ever require a passport.

beemk 06-05-2005 05:07 PM

yeah nobody uses passports. i lost my wallet a month ago and got a new id but they havent mailed it to me yet so i've been using my passport at the bar. ive even had a few bouncers try to tell me my passport wasnt a valid id. i had to tell them to get their managers before i was let into the bar.

In the US, I needed my passport more often than here. But that was due to the visa and cuz I was a stinky foreigner.

While I am in Europe, I don't use it. Ever. With the European Union in place, there are no borders between member states.

5 typos of basic English words in one paragraph earns you the title of "idiot." I have ZERO respect for idiots.....As the title under my name suggests.

Combine that with the fact that a lot of the posts you make are way off base...I'm simply sick of reading your stupid shit.

If you want my respect..Try earning it. pr0 and I go way back and he will be cut some slack because of it. You on the other hand are earning more and more disrespect from me with every reply you make to this board.

there's difference between Passports and ID Cards. You don't need a Passport as long as you don't leave the European Union - within that an ID Card is sufficient.

in Germany I would say maybe 40 - 50% have a Passport. but since the eastern European countries didn't belong to the European Union until last year within the younger people there who travel Passports are very common.

Don't know if this was said in the thread or not, I'm not reading it all, but having the driver's license number also has the ability to expose a lot of information about a person. Another thing to think about :2 cents:

Travelling between member states of the European Union there are no borders, hence you don't really need a passport if you travel by car. Flying, you obviously need it. Actually, I think you are still required by law to carry the passport on you even when you go to e.g. France. But should you ever encounter troubles with police or authorities in general, the passport is just *the* document to show. But I get it, the North American continent is plenty big for people to never leave it.

I had several occasions in the past where restaurants in OH denied my Czech passport because it wasn't an official OH drivers license. Some store owner even told me that it was state law that they could deny any form of other official ID when checking for your drinking age, pathetic. A document that allows me to cross country borders won't get me a beer?

As I said above, you are still required to carry your passport with you at all times. I may be wrong, but anyhow... many states, including the CZE, just recently got annexed into the EU, and people have needed passports then for I don't know how many years prior to that.

In addition, Europeans travel a lot, especially overseas. Hence, a passport is just a given.

chase 06-05-2005 05:17 PM

Forgive me for possibly wading in over my head here, but regarding passports....
as it was pointed out to me...even if from here on out every single model used a passport, it doesn't change the the thousands of model who posed before and used their state IDs.
