Net porn plan labeled 'obscene'
Just found this, and I am not sure if it was posted yet! If it was, sorry for the repost.
(June 3) Yesterday's news that plans are underway for an 'xxx' Internet domain was met with sharp criticism on several fronts. Former ICANN board member Karl Auerbach said it was "obscene" to grant pornographers their own domain. Net privacy campaigner Lauren Weinstein is more concerned that the move would encourage right-wing legislators to move for laws restricting adult content to that domain.
