The girl missing in Aruba...
Not sure if you have been following this story, If not, here is a link:
http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/americ...een/index.html Dead or alive? I call most likely dead (although I sincerely hope not). :( |
First question: Was she getting married soon?
just asking |
I would say dead..... somebody would have tipped them off by now if she was alive.........i hope im wrong 100%
|
The 3 guys she left the bar with took her to a beach then dropped her off at the hotel , but the hotel security has no record of her returning .. hmmmm
|
Sure is a pretty girl..hope she is ok
|
The cops in Aruba are on the ball!! :ugone2far
The first theory is that "people of interest" -- the three men 18-year-old Holloway was last seen with early Monday morning -- may have harmed her. In a joint news conference with the missing student's mother, deputy police chief Gerald Dompig said the second theory is that Holloway may have chosen to disappear "on her own accord" and that still a third theory is Holloway may have been kidnapped. Police have not ruled out any of these theories, adding police are still receiving tips "by the hour." Fuckin every parents worst nightmare. Hope she is ok. |
i fucked her

The first reaction is to have 100 officers clod-hopping their way thru the case and in the process screwing up scene of crime and witness statements. Then.. when they get noplace, the clue hits them to get expert help, but by that time, it's so contaminated they have no chance. I watched a similar instance where a young couple were on a beach in a car - the guy was shot and the body in the boot of the car. The girl was never found. The morning after, that beach had everyone and their dogs wandering over it and screwing up any clues that may have been there. Four weeks later, after several showers, they had the brilliant idea of getting a dog in to track her. She has never been found so far, nor any charges laid. |

Good point. I'm in NYC the cops here deal with this kind of thing quite often. Its easy for me to point a finger at cops who deal mostly with confused tourists looking for a restaurant. |
:eek7 who gives a shit? people go missing all the time & unless its some white bitch with rich parents, there's no news coverage. let dat bitch be missing until she either walks back into her house on her own accord or until they find her body just like any other average dead american. done. :2 cents:

True. You never hear about the black, latina or asian girls who are MIA. Why? Nobody gives a shit. |
she is probably dead its very sad , its a shame very pretty kid.

if she's ugly, does that make her less important? :ticking ... |
Quote:
yes... there's over 10 millions of ugly kids that die of poverty worldwide each year... and nobody cares.. Pretty people dying is unacceptable.. :warning |
Who lets their 18 year old daughter go to Aruba and get liquored up at Carlos and Charlies? :disgust

On that beach incident - in the end they requested and got assistance from the FBI lab and also from Scotland Yard (London) officers, but the damage had already been done at "grass roots" level. The first few hours after a crime are obviously very important. Cops on the islands just don't experience this and rarely have facilities/procedures in place - they can hardly stop from shooting themselves in the foot :-) (Yea.. I'm serious!!! *s*) |

well, that's the REALITY but that doesn't make it cool :2 cents: .. |

There are also two specific instances I know of where "perps" are hiding in the US relating to child offenses elsewhere against both Latin and black children. They are not being forgotten, but currently being pursued by another organization. Some folks just don't give up - but will wait years to "capture" them. Gotta admire the perseverance of the individuals doing this work :-) |

The reality is, white girl goes missing = good ratings. |

I live maybe 35minutes away from this girls hometown, Mountain Brook in Birmingham, AL. It is extremely exclusive, rich neighborhood that is full of very wealthy & prominent white families. Courtney Cox from "Friends" actually grew up there. You can tell her daddy has LOTS of money, cause they are sending shitloads of agents down there and the news coverage is intense. |

I hope she is found alive...what a shame |
It's sad, no matter what their skin colour or ethnicity is =(
The media does have a way to trying to make missing white girls seem more important, and that is quite upsetting, too, but that's another subject. Still, whenever I hear about something like this, there's still a sense of loss, I hope they find her either way, so at least there can be some sense of closure, no matter how little or how frustrating, indeed, it's a parents worst nightmare. |
