Need a MP3 player for $100-150, suggestions?
A friend has recently helped me out of a jam so I want to do something nice for him. He's been asking me about MP3 players practically every other day, he really wants one but is pretty clueless with technology. You should see how our computer conversations go, what a nightmare. Anyway, I have a Dell DJ and love it, but I don't want to spend that much. I'm thinking something around $100-150, maybe a couple gigs. My only requirement is that the MP3 player has an available accessory to hook up to the car stereo.
Any suggestions? An iPod of any sort is out of the question. |
Crap... I'm searching the Internet now, the only worthwhile solution is 5GB for $200. Everything else is a total rip off. I may have to go that route.

I bought a sandisk 512 MB for about $100 a little while back here is the 1 gig version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16855125004 for $140 I think if you want a couple of gigs and an accessory to hook to a car radio you will have spend a little more than $150. But maybe not if you look hard.

iPod is one of the least cost effective solutions out right now. Not only that, they refuse to work with services like Rhapsody and Napster. The hype around iPod is just that, hype.
