Another dumb question, why would you want to? Access is soooo limited.

I know it's not like saving a JPG as a GIF, if that's what you're asking. :)
j/k Can't you just dump the data from one and import it into another - tab delim, csv....? |
Hi Lenny,
If you're talking about importing tables from SQL database into Ms Access, here is the simpliest way to do it. Obtain an ODBC driver for your SQL database, install it then import the tables into Access using that driver. It worked very well for me with MySQL :) Good luck. |

SQL is a query language, you talking about MySQL?
|
install a Mysql to Access engine/plugin
then from Access you can now import it :) |
Export to .cvs and import into access
:pimp |

We're doing all of our cross referencing and indexing for 2257 compliance on a SQL database on my server..then we export it to a .csv file to keep locally. I just thought it might be better to export it as an Access database so we could run queries and stuff like that locally. |
Download Navicat MYSQL. Its a remote MYSQL software for windows.
Just need to enter your unix server ip, user/pass for mysql. You can export, import over 50 extentions direct in your MYSQL database with 1 click. Access, Dbase, XLS, XML, etc etc I use this on a daily basis. Hope it help. |

why can't you have MySQL on your local computer? of course you can have MySQL on a Windows machine - no prob at all. i must admit that Access is easier to handle when you are used to it - but for the rest.... |
