Yes. You need to have another PCI slot added I think (or maybe you don't need to, I can't remember), If you do have to add a PCI slot, it costs $40 I think.

UK, damn, I could, if you covered the extra shipping. I don't know how much the shipping would be, maybe it's not that much. Do you know how much it is?

Juicy, did you mean what the actual Dell is? I thought you meant like the 7 digit model #, so I was looking for that. LoL.

Anyways, I think you meant what the computer is...It's a Dell Dimension 2400.

No. If you wanted to buy the computer I have with Monitor, printer, speakers, and after shipping and tax, It would be over $500. Maybe $600.

Greg Atherton 06-03-2005 11:06 AM

Ok, got an offer on it, but nothing serious. It is still for sale :)

SquireMD 06-03-2005 11:09 AM

I'm sorry, I think it would cost way too much to ship to Asia. I would ship it there if you really wanted, but the shipping cost would kill you :(

Let's see the differences between my system and the one you listed: :)

Mine: 80 GB harddrive
That: 40 GB harddrive

Mine: Dell Printer
That: NO printer

Mine: Free shipping and Tax included
That: Pay Tax and $50+ for shipping

That is $373, but $298 with a $75 rebate. Fill out rebate, send it in, wait 6 weeks for $75, then Pay tax and pay shipping. You tell me what the better deal is.

Any questions? :)

Right, If you live outside the U.S., I would not buy this. Shipping out of the country would cost too much for you.

yeah, i have a question smartass. what good is the warranty if its in your name? dell has heat issues and often needs fans replaced. that just a cost im gonna have to bite if i buy from you? didnt know warranties from dell were transferable. i think i might just pay the extra $75 and buy this crappy system from dell direct. any questions?

You know, I have already spent way too much time on this thread for just $440. LoL. But I'll answer your question, then I must go and attend to business.

You can put the warranty in your name if you extend it.

And The system you listed will cost you alot more than $75 after you factor in the extra cost for Tax, Shipping, Printer, bigger harddrive.

Regardless, this thread is fun, but comon, this is an awsome deal, and someone will get a steal, and if no one is interested, I will just put it on Ebay instead. Just figured I would skip the hassle of Ebay.

No hard feelings though, this is GFY. ;)

i understand, it just seemed like it wasnt that great of a deal. what do i know anyways. best of luck selling it. ps, ram doesnt use pci slots and you cant add a pci slot to any system without replacing the entire board. :thumbsup

taibo 06-03-2005 12:23 PM

great deal!

Thanks :thumbsup

The ram, your right, maybe I am mistaken on the Ram, I would guess you can add it on there without having to add anything.

I mean they sell Ram for Dimension 2400, so I'm sure you can add it on there witout any problems.

Hehe, you should do your own due diligence Lee!

Here is an easy way of seeing if this is a good deal:

go to http://www.dell.com

Build the syustem I have listed above. Make sure it has speakers, monitor, printer.

Then add tax, and shipping charge. Then compare. :)

Greg Atherton 06-03-2005 02:16 PM

I have a $400 offer now. Who can beat it?

Greg Atherton 06-03-2005 03:51 PM
