PORTABLE ID SCANNER - Copy Drivers Licenses----
 

I'm looking for a cordless scanner with internal memory for copying id's -

I know I've seen cigarette promoters carrying around portable scanners which took a color copy of the id and databased the info but I can't find them, (the scanner). Anyone know of a good scanner under $500???

try carrying a duffel full of cameras, lights, converters, adapters, mics, etc... into a small redneck bar at 1:00 am -- you get some funny looks :)

Good question. But when a scanner is not present I take digital pics of the IDs.
Also its a good idea to film them.

I have always had problems using a digi in low light...flash washes out the image from the reflection - film is good

easy.

then do one with model holding ID next to chin---high rez. at 12 megapixel you can see individual eyelashes and 4pt type on her license.

will provide MUCH more info than portable scanning.

get the girl smiling in the shot so she doesn't claim she was forced into posing for you.

Yeah, I dont use the flash and I put it on macro and lay the IDs down on something. As long as there is enough light its never a problem.
