xxx domains are easy for ISPs to block.

imagine, aol start selling broadband connections with .xxx blocked by default to protect kids. dumb aol porn surfers either cant be bothered calling to remove the block (too embarrassed or lazy?) and suddenly no more aol traffic and sales drop a tonne.

its also in ISP's interest to block .xxx domains anyway to save bandwidth, how many people would phone their ISP to complain they cant watch their prescious hardcore fisting videos any more? not many.

anyone that moves to .xxx's as their main domains is helping seal their own fate!

I dont like to be forced to do anything, but thats not really what is happening here. We are being given an opportunity to use a new tld for porn only. You don't have to stop using the other tld's so who cares if xxx gets blocked by default? I'm still using my .com's, .net''s and .org's. However you can bet that I will register at least 1 xxx domain so that I hit that market as well... its business.
