The latest pop up on gfy will drive me insane.

Ok the brain cash pop up was annoying enough since I got it with every page load, but now the fucking pop up with window breaking sound embeded into it loading with every page load.

I always love it when sponsors put themselves on my ignore them forever list by doing such stupid crap.

kernelpanic 06-01-2005 06:49 PM

What popup?

http://www.getfirefox.com/

azguy 06-01-2005 06:50 PM

Spunky 06-01-2005 06:51 PM

I couldn't close it..but yea refresh the shit

sniperwolf 06-01-2005 06:51 PM

For some odd reason just like the braincash one before it. I keep getting it everytime I hit the main page. Even if I refresh.
Every pop up before was working like it should, only showing every few hours.
As for get firefox, umm No! I work with what the majority of my surfers use.

You can still test your sites in IE, while surfing yourself with something better.

I refreshed 20 times and got not a single popup, or anything beyond the standard banners.

No it is annoying.
Best case I ignore that sponsor for good and deal with the popup.
Worst case I keep flash turned off for gfy and a great deal of advertisers loose their exposure.

mardigras 06-01-2005 06:55 PM

They will get mad clicks. I just went there twice trying to get away from it :upsidedow

Theo 06-01-2005 06:55 PM

If it was my choice sure, but why should I get new software, learn it, and use up even more pc resources (nobody can say it isnt a resource hog) just because of an add here. Specially when it would more than likely end up with me blocking most of the ads?

BlueWire 06-01-2005 07:02 PM

Well, if anyone wants a really annoying but really effective advertising campaign.....

You know who to call :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Please note I am refraining from using the companies name in my bitching, no free publicity from me.

Flash items are now dissabled for me. No more pop up and unfortunatly for some advertisers no more ad views by me for them either.

swedguy 06-01-2005 07:47 PM

Hmm, popup?

I think its an attractive ad. The problem is it didn't stick in my head because as I type this I can not remember who the hell the ad is for.

WebCamCash! Considering there is a sticky thread with their name on it and a top banner as well...maybe you're memory is just letting you down :winkwink: jk

Decadawn 06-01-2005 08:07 PM
