MTV plays 7 minutes of commercials now..
last night, i was watching that "True Life" documentry shit, anyways, i had to run to the store, so at commercial break, i started recording the show on my DVR, i come back from the store, playback what i missed & all i got was 7 minutes of nothing buy commercials! :disgust
at this rate, in 5 yrs, they will have 20 mins of commercials & 10 mins of a show. |
yeah...mtv's turning crap now...
|
mtv sucks... all it shows are ad's of that stupid jamster mobile ring tones...
|
I *HATE* MTV!! hate is a strong word. I HATE MTV!
|
MTV is bad about that, but I think TBS is the worst, especially when they play movies. The commercial breaks are so long, I can come upstairs to check my E-Mail and traffic, then go back downstairs to get a drink or some stuff, and get back to the entertainment center to still see commercials on.

7 already? Damn.
|
About the only good show left on MTV is punkd.
|
I only ever watch Jackass on MTV...

My thoughts exactly. I thought MTV was for 12 year old girls and people who went to school on the short bus? |
mtv sucks balls. if you are 14 -21 its a waste of time
|
pft fuck mtv lol
|
I've noticed that just about all of the regular cable channels are having longer and longer commercial breaks. Some shows on some stations go through their opening shpiel, then right into 5+ minutes of commercials before the show actually starts. It's nuts.
One of these years I'm going to invest in one of them digital recording doohickies that edits out the commercials for you. :D |
MTV is for kids ages 9 - 15. I stopped watching MTV a long time ago.
|
in germany all the commercials are this extremly annoying ring tones.
they are trying to sell all this cuuuute bears, sheeps and bees that sing their crappy songs to the underaged kids watching mtv. this niche should get stronger laws not porn |
The worst is the volume increase during commercials. Over the past two or three years, they've really gone nuts with that, it's at least a 10-15% volume increase for commercials on most channels I watch. It sucks for guys like myself who have good surround sound and like to have it fairly loud as it is.

I havent watched MTV since the mid 80's

The worst thing about commercials is reptitiveness. Watching the same ad 3-4 times in a one hour time slot is very annoying. If they would switch them up a bit I wouldn't mind them.
If all the ads were superbowl quality... I bet alot of people would just watch the ads instead of the programming. |
MTV says they are now "uncomfortable" with artists making a political statement on their channel... Fuck them. :2 cents:
|
i enjoy VH1 much more than MTV. though neither are really about music anymore...
|
thats probably the weakest show on mtv. meet the barkers is dope, and VLB and the other shows in the stew. I grew up on MTV,

Funny thing is I actually saw a Music Video on MTV recently. Strange. You don't see those anymore.

I watch MTV2 for Headbanger's Ball and Wonder Showzen, then the rest of the time if I'm watch 'music" television, I watch Fuse....Juliya is so fucking hot..... |
viacom fuckin sucks.
|
OH.... another thing that bugs the shit out of me about regular cable channels is.... they all seem to sync their commercial breaks at close to the same times now.
FUCKERS! I mean, you're watching program A on channel 5. They go to commercials and you just know it's going to be 5+ minutes long... so you channel-surf to progam B on channel 16 ... BAM-- commercials. Channel 20? --- commercials. TBS Atlanta? --- fuckers are the worst, 80% commercials, 20% show I hate that. The got you no matter what. |
reminds me of mad tv
