Almost just got arrested!

So i'm taking a burn run, its a beautiful day outside, so i figured i'd check out the parks area, they have civil war shit etc & i love history.

So i pull in the park, i spark a doob of the finest sativa i've ever smoked (mind you im wearing a snoop dogg t-shirt & a baseball cap) & at the moment i got my first huge puff in....

I look & to my suprise out in the middle of nowhere, in the woods, there was a cop just staring at me. So i blow my smoke out the window & prepare to be boarded, i've got my personal protection gear in the vehicle, & about 300 .223 rounds from a earlier shooting match (all unrelated just would have looked bad)

but ya know what...the muther fucker let me go, i guess he saw the "OOPS IM STUPID, but i got the name of a great lawyer in my pocket" look in my face

Marijuana laws are such a joke. Its good that he let you go, though, since you weren't hurting anyone. Would have been better than some bogus arrest which only creates more paperwork for you and the police. Seriously, enforcement of things such as marijuana laws, seatbelt laws, etc. is just a waste of police resources. They should be out catching real criminals, who are actually hurting other people.

alright i still can't believe i got away with that

i don't think i'll be smoking in a car in the near future

i got my ONE lol

wdsguy 06-01-2005 12:39 PM

Was it the smell that got you? I heard that you can get away with smoking weed in public with a lot less risk if you blend it with tobacco.

CDSmith 06-01-2005 12:41 PM

I thought you had the "medicinal purposes" thing going for you?

I totally agree, & the fact is i'm a law abiding, tax paying citizen of the u.s.a, driving a nice car, taking in some history lessons from the local area. And putting myself in a creative state working on a new project.

I'm not out looking to get lit & leave burger king wrappers on the lawn. Or jump someone.

I'm guessing thats why i got a pass. He was like "hmmm cool place to smoke a joint, respect tha confederacy!"

What state do you live in? From what I've seen, Marijuana enforcement is a highly regional issue, with some places (like where I live) sending people to jail for it, whereas other places really could care less. A friend of mine who lives in Berkeley, CA got caught smoking a joint in a park by a cop, and the cop made him put it out, and then let him go. Funny part about it is that my friend is 16 :1orglaugh

Confused.

If you have the medicinal purposes thing, why would you get a slap on the wrist at all?

wouldn't it be like "Okay sir, I see you have medical permission here, carry on"

?

As harmful as tobacco is, denying marijuana to those aged 18 and above is hypocracy.

As harmful as alcohol is, denying marijuana to those aged 21 and above is hypocracy.

i think weed isnt legalized because it slows the reaction time in people.
imagine if everyone was stoned & driving, there would be as many accidents as drunk drivers. the only difference is, theres no way to test if you are high at a *specific* time & day, unlike alchohol, which can be diagnosed as drunk or buzzed in 1 minute with a breathalizer test. if there was a way to test how 'high' someone was, im sure it would have been legalized by now & just restricted to homes & bars like alchohol is now.

think about it; they allow the sell of cigerettes which contains hundreds of POISONS but wont let us smoke weed legally? hmmm.

just my thought on the subject.

Don't worry pr0 - but just be happy ya got outta that one!!! :-)

You are in good company - I know a couple of law-abiding drug enforcement officers who are not averse to a joint!!

In fact.. a special "day out" for em is when the burn a load of the stuff seized... both the dogs and the cops have a nice high!! :winkwink:

Chichio 06-01-2005 01:09 PM

Luckly you got a reasonable cop.

When it's legal it doesn't mean people would constantly do it while driving. They can make illegal while driving right? It'd be much easier to control when legalized. The Netherlands is a good example, you NEVER hear anything about stoned accidents.

Right? :2 cents:

GiantGnome 06-01-2005 01:14 PM

weed is weed but its still a drug. firearms and drugs in the same car? man you are lucky. do you have a license for the arms atleast? ive watched enough of the show COPS to know you would be in deep doo doo. :Oh crap
