Possible 2257 Sponsor Hosted Gallery Solution ??

I was thinking about this for a while and was wondering if it could be a simple solution to those sponsors that supply hosted galleries and the webmasters that list them. Please feel free to crituque my idea :winkwink:

Say a sponsor had 100 hosted galleries. Couldn't they just whip up a downloadable text file with all of the documents listed by gallery number then when they add new hosted galleries, they just update that text file with the newest galleries, so all that a webmater would have to do would be to download the latest text file when they pulled the latest galleries ??

What are your ideas on that ?

Well, if it's a hosted gallery and you just LINK to it with a hyperlink, then *you* dont need the documentation. *They* do.. So I'm not sure why they'd need to provide you with anything but the link :)

PimpRoll already has a downloadable file of FHG's for instance. When new ones are added to the system, the links and descriptions are added to the downloadable text file.

If its a hosted gallery, do they need to give 2257 or since they are hosting it, they just need to have the link on the gallery to their 2257?

It's rumored that if you make your thumb for your thumb tgp either non-nude or nude (i.e. not explicit) then you won't need to comply with the new regulations. The thumb has to originate from a non-explicit image as well. I'm going to meet with a lawyer soon enough to confirm that.

I think a lawyer is probably best to answer these questions
