My surgery trip! (gross pics)
 

Well guys this was one painful trip. Actually the whole time I was at the hospital I felt little to no pain because they had me loaded on drugs. This is the pic of me fresh out of surgery.

Here is a pic of view out of my hospital window. I had the surgery in Reno because I got into the accident in Tahoe and the surgeon was in Reno so I stuck with him. He is amazing.

Here is the pic of when the nurse first took off the bandages. She gave me an extra shot of Demerol just in case it hurt. After the shot nothing hurt. haha

Now as I was in the hospital they had me nice a drugged up for the pain. I felt so good, meaning no pain at all. I would do my makeup, watch TV, laugh, and play crossword puzzles.

I felt so good the next day I got dressed to go home.

These were the crutches they brought for me to go home with. They are about the same length as my arm. haha Some how the person who put the order down for my crutches wrote that I was 5?5 and weighed 150. My nurse went crazy on the poor guy. Screaming, she is 6? and weight 120. How the hell did you get those numbers? As she was giving me another shot of Demerol. I swear my nurse was the best.

When I got home I was still full of Demerol and was so happy to be home. These are the little guys waiting for me when I got home and oh how they can just make you feel so much better.

Well the bad news about this all is after a few hours of being home I went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and the Demerol had worn completely off. I have never cried in pain like that in my life. I was out of my mind. I didn?t know what to do. Almost went to the emergency room. I do not live in Reno so I would have had to go to another doctor. So I took 3 of the pain pills they told me to only take one of. It knocked me out but the pain was still there. They called me in some Norco but that makes me sleepy. So needless to say I am in a lot pain and these damn pills make me tried which I hate.

So I am in bed with my laptop trying to get some work done! I can?t wait until this is all over with and I am back bouncing around the office again!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWW WW You said it it IS gross , but hope you are recovering just fine, want to take you dancing in San Diego in a couple of weeks :winkwink:

ewwww...oh well, you're still a hottie in my book :thumbsup

That's one of the worst things about going through something like this...... when you wake up and the drugs have worn off. You have to sit in agony for another half-hour until your next dosage takes effect, and the pills they give you usually only barely takes the edge off.

Good to see you can still manage a smile though Loryn. :D

DAAAAAAAAAMN that sucks, and looks extremely painful. At least you were heavily medicated throughout. Get better soon, Loryn.

This is the third surgery I had on my foot, second one since I have worked at Adult.com!

That sucks...

Ask the Dr for a percocet script... trust me, it will knock the edge off the pain.
Wont take it away completely, but it helps alot.
