Spoken like a true tourist. Yes, he is still there, but this is not Venice. I only go there when I have friends from out of the country with me. This is Hermosa Beach.

Venice eye candy is few and far between compared to Hermosa Beach.

man, i love taking candids, too -- it gets to be almost like the camera is a third eye when you're "in the zone" -- and you can see what the lens is seeing in your head. i took these one castro halloween -- great event for candid pix, if you've never been -- :)

Hehehehe oops, my bad. My fave resto at Hermosa... Bottle Inn. Great lunchtime Italian food. Yeah, you're right, BD, I'm a tourist... when I used to visit Venice and Hermosa, I lived in the SF Valley. Almost like another state, really (weatherwise). :thumbsup

Definitely different weatherwise . . . . but I don't know why a local would want to go to Venice. Hermosa and Manhattan are so much more mellow.

I liked the vendors, incense, sage fragrances, street performers, street art, palm readers and other mystics of Venice Beach. It is definitely an experience. Manhattan and Hermosa have their own personalities and each of the 3 beaches are great for their own unique angle on things. :thumbsup
