Went fishing on the ocean this weekend (pics)
 

It was coooold, well cold for us desert dwellers in Las Vegas. We went out on the boat at Dana Point this weekend. Fun stuff. We were looking for yellowfin tuna but didnt get that lucky, just caught a bunch of bass and rockfish and a few ling cod.

Probably 25 or so.

Yeah it was very calm. 2 foot swells at most.

Hell yes we already lots of them. There were 6 of us.

That one is a Ling Cod.

I'm going fishing at Mineral Lake by Mt. Rainier next week. I'm psyched.
Look at the size of some of these trout!

fishing is cool!

We didnt do that good size wise, we were looking for yellowtail tuna but they were not around. Biggest were the ling cod, 2 of them around 28 inches.

Right after a full moon, the ocean is Very calm.
For a day or so... Perfect for snorkling..............
I have seen this twice in Key West....

Nice. I gave up ocean fishing because everytime I went I ended up seasick. :(

No way and if we did we would have carefully thrown them back. We did see lots of them swimming though. Cool stuff. :thumbsup
