WTF - Weird eBay shit going on!!!
 

I recently sold a PS2 game on eBay. I shipped it to the winning bidder and they left me positive feedback (great seller. Super fast delivery...blah blah). I sold this over a month ago and when I went to go play my PS2 last night the game was still in the machine! I sent them an empty case on accident.

I felt horrible so I immediately went to eBay and emailed the person to apologize for not shipping the game but instead an empty case. They just emailed me back saying that they haven't purchased a PS2 game on eBay for quite some time and it wasn't them that won the bid.

I emailed them through the actual auction and double checked the email address the paypal came from and they all check out. Also, I double checked the shipping address information and it also came from the same email account.

Maybe it was his family member or something?

They might also think you were phishing them for more information.

That is weird.. But I let friends that arent online much use my ebay account at times. I could see possibly see a scenario there where a friend used the ebay account and didnt want to cause any waves etc so didnt say anything about the empty case. Who knows... weird shit

I once did a stupid thing on ebay and got postive feedback from both before I even knew that a problem existed. Put the wrong shipping labels on the boxes. Everything work out but for a while I felt pretty stupid. :upsidedow

i would NEVER let a friend use my ebay account. i've told them no a bunch of times. i didnt do honest business on ebay for several years to let one of my friends fuck that up.

I dunno ebay account is no big deal to me, got several and can always setup another. And a negative feedback here or there wont kill ya.

I'd say his account got hacked. I bid on a camera a month ago and won or so I thought. I later received another email saying I didnt win, then another email saying there was a mix up and I really did win. They asked me to send payment but this email was outside of Ebay so I wouldnt have been covered by Ebay for the transaction so I sent the email to Ebay and sure enough they told me to ignore the email but to send them the header information from the emails... my guess hacked account.
