Who's got the scoop on Managed.com?
 
Two of my boxes have been down for three days and ongoing, same deal with several other people as can be read in some of the other webmaster forums.

They don't answer e-mails or support tickets.

Their phone number has been disconnected.

New dedicated servers come with UNLICENSED cPanel/WHM software, and only one IP.

Refund requests are defended on their side by "quality of service is not of consequence as long as the good has been delivered."

...


So who's got the scoop?

I'd like to think a temporary DDoS attack on one of the switches, but some of the factors in this drama points elsewhere.

I have 8 boxes and they work fine. I mailed them yesterday for a reboot and got one within 10 mins.

Are we talking about the same company?

i've heard a lot of bad shit about managed.com as of late. i'd switch to another host if i were you.

Yes, we are, and I am perfectly aware that most of the customers are still on uptime. Hence my wish to think that it is a DDoS attack under ONE of the switches.

Sounds odd...even more odd that they dont respond. They always respond to me fucking quick.

If they had just honored me with a simple reply or a notification of any kind that things will work out, it wouldn't be so bad (for me). I don't have any mission critical sites with them. I feel bad for the other affected customers though.

Well you've been arround with them for a fucking long time bud ... they don't wanna loose you ... hell at one time I had over 20 boxes with them

Managed.com is great. Never had any problems with them. Responses in under 1hr.

And the servers and the data on them are still down and irretrievable, of course.

Yep. After a short period of only three weeks they did indeed respond to me. They had the balls to tell me that my stuff is online, although clearly to anyone outside their shitty little network that is not the case. I pointed this out to them, but I guess I have to wait another three weeks for the response. I just want some of my databases back at this point. I am too demanding, I know.
