I take co-enzyme q10 with my daily vitamins and I eat 1oz of organic cottage cheese with flax seed oil, garlic, and chyenne pepper. Been doing this for one month and feel more wide awake and healthy than I have in the last couple years.

PlugRush Sascha 05-29-2005 11:22 AM

Sleep 8 hours per night, eat healthily, take 'power naps' and get some type of exercise (either cardiovascular training of some sort for 30-45 minutes or a lifting routine at the gym for 1-2 hours) each day.

TDF 05-29-2005 11:23 AM

redbull and chronic

Gasper 05-29-2005 11:27 AM

Exercise, goddamn!!

It's the hard way, I know .. but the results are great. 1h per day and you'll feel great :2 cents:

SeniorX 05-29-2005 03:21 PM

in the morning eat fruits and drink water (with lemon in it for taste)..... avoid milk and other "heavy" foods until afternoon when you're done working and just want to chill or watch tv.... also quit smoking, alcohol, and coffee. If you follow these simple lifestyle rules you'll probably get 5 times more productive work done in a day!

Digesting "heavy" foods will drain more energy than 30 mins of jogging or having sex, so you'd be just "braindead", reading GFY all day long.

Try it, you'll see results in the first day already!

wjxxx 05-29-2005 03:25 PM

cocaine or amphetamine of cos

SeniorX 05-29-2005 03:30 PM

another little secret - when you're not productive anymore, and find yourself stearing at the screen, just go to bed and as you're not tired enough yet to fall asleep, you'll start thinking about stuff, well think about your work, and write down the things you have to do, in exact and detailed steps. You'll get the BEST ideas this way! But again, diet and sleep are more important than ANYTHING else, because what you eat goes into your brain! Jogging is also good for your brain. Smoking and alcohol makes you stupid, literally. Coffee helps only at the beginning, when you've drunk it for a week, it just makes concentrating worse, you'll get jumpy, muscleaches, stress, hemorroids, headaches, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, less blood flow to brain, etc.

Holly 05-29-2005 03:38 PM

Mt. Dew, crystal meth, and hookers. Not necessarily in that order.

polle54 05-29-2005 03:44 PM

exercise and sleep is the only correct solution to your problem, pills is just a way to cheat the body to think it's not sleepy anymore. It only helps for so long.

don't pay for yoga classes just run 2-5 miles once or twice a week and eat probably.

I work 7 days/week round the clock with short power naps - I been doing this since my university years ('79).

Couple things that make a positive difference:

Nutrition - make sure you are nourishing your body with either good food and/or vitamin supplements. If you work long hours or under duress, B complex vitamins are very helpful. Don't take vitamins on an empty stomach.

Exercise - even simple regular walks will boost you energy levels.

Rest - Sleep when you are tired. Do not try to sleep when you are not tired. If you can't sleep, go do something.

Breath! - Oxygen is what fuels our brains and learning to breath properly can make a huge difference to your overall sense of well-being. Don't crap up your lungs with smoke.

4 hours of deep sleep can totally recharge your system.

Unfortunately, our 9-5 M-F grinds totally conflict with our natural cycles - one of the reasons I have broken away from that loop and work according to my own needs/cycles.

:2 cents:
