Just servers for now, but it seems many people are asking whether or not we are incorporated in NL, how would that really play a difference?

In either case we are looking into opening another company there but as of now we are just hosting servers there. Most of the regulations are against Webmasters not hosts, so I'm not sure if it matters whether the corp is US or Euro based, so long as the servers and the corps that own the sites are not held by US companies.

pornpf69 05-28-2005 08:31 PM

I think that WLOS is located there

grumpy 05-29-2005 12:44 AM

Mark, contact me. I have some free server space for you.

It is indeed. I'm about to head off there to deliver my second server, they're top notch. Check out their network page too, total capacity of 15Gbps

Chilihost hosts out of one of the Leaseweb suites and uses Leaseweb as their bandwidth provider :2 cents:

Yup, 100mbit would cost you around E1100,- / month with a very decent server like a Dell PE750 or something like that.

Weppel 05-29-2005 04:30 AM

Keep in mind though, all of those offers are completely unmanaged. You get the root login and have to do everything from there. If you need help with that, hit me up :)

fireorange 05-29-2005 05:00 AM

WARNING:

If the hosting company is US based but has servers elsewhere in the world, the US authorities can get your server shipped back to the US. Just ask the terrorists at www.indymedia.org who's server hosted in a UK datacentre got disconnected and sent to the FBI because the hosting company is a US company (Rackspace).

Peace 05-29-2005 05:13 AM

talk to vertumike he has servers in holland

Hinc 05-29-2005 05:27 AM

Hmmm there´s some interesting offers to look at.

Still havent seen any matching the US offers though (at least from what I could tell) - like 220usd for:
2.4 Ghz CPU
120 GB IDE Hard Drive
Fully Managed
1000 Gigs/month bandwidth
Cpanels
24/7 Support

Or maybe im reading it wrong?

VirtuMike 05-29-2005 09:46 AM

Thanks for the plug - Eurotivity
