Does offering 'limited trial access' to members increase charge backs?

Or is it the standard among reality sites nowadays?

It increases your rebill rate from trial to signup.

No it does not increase chargebacks but your credits will go up

That's for sure, but how about charge backs?

Surfer sees hot gallery with a hot babe, the gallery leads to the reality site, tour says "get access for $4.95", surfer pays $4.95 to jerk off to two movies of a particular babe and then he is told he cant view these movies unless he upgrades his membership.

Will he upgrade and suddenly spend $29.95, if he never does it?
Nope, he will get pissed off and demand a charge back.

I actually talked about that with someone and that was his experience.

The billing company will tell you to put Limited Trial and not Access for $4.95, but of-course this can be changed by the owner after he got approved.

The surfer joins to lub one out, if you wont let him lub one in the trial section you got more chance that he will go for the Full month.

Make sure you show them what they will get if they upgrade and let him access a fair amount of sets for trial price.

Your friend or whoever it was with experience, let him either lower the trial price or upgrade the content within the trial area.

yes, that can be a possible reason for the chargebacks... we all know that visitors would like to be irritated with something like this

chargebacks don't really go up.. I have been doing trial members area for 5 or 6 years now.. They are pretty safe.
