Adobe GoLive or Dreamweaver

Ive used Dreamweaver for years now, but the program is clunky and Macromedia aint launched an upgrade for this in ages. What do you use ? and any imput on the new Golive ?
Dreamweaver is good at handling lots of sites with loads of pages but the cache can a fucking major pain in the ass. What ya think...

dreamweaver mx 2thumbs up!!

But, I have never liked Adobe products when it comes to HTML.

Design = Adobe
Html = Macromedia

I have never had a problem with the cache in dreamweaver.

Yes. I agree.

wait 6 months-a year, and there probably will not be a Dreamweaver as Adobe bought out Macromedia.

webcrawler 07-08-2005 12:25 AM

dreamweaver mx 2004. :thumbsup

Jhcbiinoc 07-08-2005 12:40 AM

Definitely Dreamweaver MX; I have not fully dived into the MX 2004 version yet, but it looks to be even better.

Getting rid of Dreamweaver will suck for allot of people. I guess they can keep using their old version :winkwink:

Yep your probably right. Ive had a month testing golive - its got some neat features but still seems rough. CSS handling is much better - but still. Suppose its the fact I have used dreamweaver since v1, hard to change old habbits. Will be interesting though what kind of morphed packages adobe will come out with. Shame really as theirs hardly no compition now and Adobe could if they wish sit back for a while.
