BEST Statment for 2257 and more info...

The new regulations are set to take effect on June 23, 2005. However, The Free Speech Coalition is seeking injunctions on both the East and West Coast. These injunctions are very likely (though not guaranteed) to slow the passage of these (or some components of) laws. In a best case scenario, the courts will uphold the Sundance vs. Reno decision regarding the responsibilities of a secondary producer and there will be no need for webmasters to keep redundant sets of model IDs.

But in the mean time it's almost impossible for a secondary producer (webmasters) to be compliant, you will need to have ALL paperwork for ALL the content on ALL your sites in your office or home to be looked at by the DOJ, not to mention it will need to be in alphabetical order and easy to inspect and cross reference.... (I'm my opinion, KNOW ONE can be in compliance, and that's how they want it, to wipe of internet porn)

We spoke to our attorneys and got a lot of clarification on a bunch of things (our company is different then most as we run websites for other people like porn star and video companies) and he basically agrees that there making it VERY hard to comply, so they can get 50+ webmaster convictions under the child protection act and put that shit on CNN... ..

Sorry to be so grim... But this can and will affect a lot of people if the injunctions don't help.

It may be your opinion that no one can be in compliance, but we are.
