Best way to check galleries for viruses?
Is there a good way to make sure you list no virus galleries?
My antivirus program doesn't detect all of them and some of my surfers complained about it... |
please, this is really important...has anybody an idea?
|
Can I only hope my antivirus detects the virus on the gallery?
|
don't you have a script to check your galleries hourly, daily etc... for things like this?
I image ppl can add viruses to there galleries after they get posted or some other neat trick.. |
open them and see if you get a virus

only allow html (no iframes though) in teh gallery .. have a script to check it or do it yoruself (look at teh source) .. once you accept the gallery .. have a exact copy of teh html (or size of teh file) and have a scriptr check it once a while .. if nothing has been changed.

If the surfer has active spyware on his computer that can detect ADULT WORDS in web pages or obviously named images that spyware can popup ads, dialers etc. Even based on hostname that the surfer is visiting. They may be COMING to your website and already have been infected.
|
it would take forever... Maby you could make a software, that spideres the webpage THROUGH the browser, every XXX minutes.. and then se if it detect anything.
|
Does your script have an option to check galleries regulary? If so it should be able to flag it or remove it if the page changes. ... so if you have that option, turn it on.

use Mcafee firewall and virusscan.
the firewall wil tell you you got an incoming trojan. if it still goes through, use sybot to remeve them. and a virusscan at your admin/local settings/ usually. but some fuckers detect your ip when you review the galleries so you may still get a clean page while everyone else gets a trojan... common practice nowadays |
Partner accounts kicks in. Bump.
