New 2257 has brought idiocy to a whole new level!
Not just talking by the government, but some of the posts, comments and thoughts of some take it to a whole new level...
Much of it is quite comical, carry on! :thumbsup |
What is thisssss "two two five seven" thing that you are all discussing... care to elaborate? :glugglug
|
75% of the people in the world are complete fucking idiots.
24% hide it well and 1% know what the fuck is going on |

and the 24% are going to try to sell non conforming software solutions to the 75%.
Hint: Buy from the 1%. Alex |
How will the new 2257 affect my text tgp? :Hollering

christ.. no wonder most of you only make under 1000$ a month when you trust your whole companies future and your own to board whores on gfy !
this is serious business everyone - get a friggin lawyer who specializes in 2257 - contact the free speech people and start taking responsibility for yourself rather than getting free legal advice from here |

please tell me this doesn't surprise you? i do agree, it is comical; almost hysterical! |
Yes it's beyond ridiculous around here.
I'm waiting for the first person to try defending themselves with "so and so from GFY said this was ok" |
Quote:
First guy that gets pinched with that attitude will use the " the govt is coming after ME because I can't defend myself, They didn't go after the "Big Guys" becuase they can afford to defend themselves." When in truth all these dumbasses are "waiting" to see the response of the sponsors or want to be told what is OK from the sponsors. Lets just hope they listen to the sponsor that has the right lawyer. Heaven forbid we take responsibility for our own business. |
With all due respect Wizzo, this is an open forum for discussion.
While some of the opinions vary, I can guarantee you this. Throw 10 lawyers in a room with these regulations or virtually ANY law on the books and you'll see more than 10 different interpretations. They would sit and argue the same way it's being done here. Granted, they'd be better dressed. How people can actually be convicted by some of the laws on the books is beyond me. When a lawyer can't understand the ambiguous language and give you anything more than THEIR interpretation, how are regular people supposed to know what is and isn't the law? I know if I kill or rape someone, I've broken a law somewhere, but laws like this are left WIDE open for interpretation and debate. NOTE-This in no way condones using the advice on GFY as legal advice. |

I saw someone discussing the development of a software program on another board, and they admitted that they hadn't even read the regulation :Oh crap

Should be interesting to see if this reg lives through the legal challenges.
