Regardless of them having to shut down they have an assload of work in front of them. Do you even realize the time involved to check every pic in every profile for explicit shit on an ONGOING basis. Or am I wrong to think that once you are approved you can upload more pics at will.

I can go start a profile today and upload anything I want after it is approved. Even if they started screening now they would still have months of work in front of them with a dedicated team to clear out all the old stuff.

how about sites like mallcom stores? where none of the box images are hosted at your site, yet display on your domain? that would make you a secondary producer would it not, havent seen it discussed yet but was curious.

true, if it takes a human to moderate and make a judgment call on each image submitted it will be a huge workload---you can't build a script for that.
