Penelope Cruz in "Spanglish"
 

Just rented and watched "Spanglish" with Adam Sandler and it was pretty good.
However, I spent the entire movie thinking his co-star was Penelope Cruz, while actually it was a little known spanish actress named Paz Vega. Boy do I feel stupid :error Dam they have to be twins :winkwink:

BTW Spanglish ending was soooo unsatisfying. WTH

I disagree about the ending. It was narrated from the point of view of the child. The whole premise was about family love. If he (Adam) would have gone with Flore, it would have been like every other "leave the bad wife for the pretty girl" movie. It was a breath of fresh air that he didn't fuck her and stayed with his wife that made a mistake. :2 cents:

I watched it toorecently and then I went out and bought Sex and Lucia with her in it. Great movie.

That movie was great. I thought it was Penelope for a few minutes too. i think I like her better than PC

A few minutes? I watch the whole movie thinking it was her.

Sidenote to bopha's statement that the ending was "soooo unsatisfying",

The last words scripted from the film were from the child's essay, "my identity rest firmly and happily on one fact; I am my mothers daughter.

Thinking back to the movie it all made sence. Good flick. :thumbsup

I thoguht it was a great movie... she cares for her child and tries to protect her form being consumed by wealth... and it works in the end.. marvelous !

I made the same mistake when I watched Spanglish, then when I saw the credits I realised she wasn't Penelope
