2257 solution for thumb tgp owners
 

As a thumb tgp owner you can do the following (at least I think so)

1) Blur your thumbs enough that they are not depicting sexual material.
2) Use a photoshop filter to render your thumbs black and white and make them mosaic/cartoon like... that would then turn that thumb into a piece of art and you have freedom of artistic expression.

Any thoughts?

Censor the thumbs with a black bar.

Not sure if that would suffice. However, I have noticed some thumb tgp's starting to do this with young "looking" thumb previews.

This is not a viable answer as the photo still depicts a sexual act.

It already says that you can't block out part of the the image in an atempt to not need the 2257 docs. You will still need them.

blurring or blacking out sexual content does NOT give you an exemption from 2257. hey try just using TEXT LINKS. And save yourself a whole lot of trouble.

How can you prove the original picture if I have modified it enough to not make it recognizable.

Or if I photoshop it enough that it looks like a drawing? If this is not allowed then art depicting any sexually explicit content will not be allowed. So I guess judges will require 2257 to display pictures of old masterpieces...

So I can crop a thumb from a softcore picture and link to a hardcore gallery?

Wy would you do that? Isn't the purpose of a thumb is to show what the bigger pic looks like?

1) Not go against 2257
2) Thumb sites grow faster if you tease your surfer to click :winkwink:

It's sad that you take people's suggestions to speak with a lawyer as an attack. Saying they can and saying they should isn't really any different. A lot of people are running scared because of this and they may just take your post as fact instead of seeking out truth.

Softcore is exempt.
