Does anyone have any advice on moving out of the USA? I'm interested in either the Carribbean or Canada. Thank you.

Umm, have a job or enough to retire arranged BEFORE you move. The latter applies especially to the Caribbean.

I moved in... looked around... and moved out years ago. Moving is easy and, can only speak for the Caribbean, but much nicer!! :-)

If this has anything to do with 2257 crap and you are a US citizen, it may be more relevant to disposing of citizenship, else you are still in the frame :-)

If you move to Canada, move to the west coast because that is where it is the warmest and very beautiful.

If moving to Caribbean, check out the Bahamas

NaughtyRob 05-24-2005 11:26 PM

Vancouver, Canada. I am reasearching. Maybe in a few years.
:pimp

If you like mild weather and the ocean, you have to move to the west coast. If you like big cities take a look at Toronto. If you prefer cheaper places to live that still don't completely suck check out Winnipeg or Calgary.

West coast of Canada for sure... remember your $ is worth more here!

I've been to Winnipeg, and IMO it does completely suck.

If I were not married I would have become a citizen of Vancouver about 3 years ago...

It's not as simple as just moving out of the US

American citizens will be subject to US law whether they're currently in America or not.

Honduras is prime!

Location 5
Weather 4
Legal System 3

On a 5 star scale this one is hard to beat.

Depends on what your definition of sucking is. It's a great place to raise a family, it's inexpensive, there's a lot to do, and it's close to some of the world's greatest nature. Not everyone likes a big expensive pollution filled city with a high crime rate and no nice cottage country nearby.
