If anybody with a business mind that isn't talking bullshit wants to work with me and DH and see this thing get settled.

I told the dude I'd pay him whatever he felt like me and my partner owed him.
But only after I get an apology for calling me a scammer.

I didn't think it was a whole lot to ask.
But if anybody knows a way to resolve this that is good for both sides.

Because bullshit and drama create nothing positive for a lot a sig views.
And I have no sig

just pay the man for his services that you agreed to pay him on and move on. if its ever brought back up you have the satisfaction of knowing that you arent a scammer, yet a man of his word and paid a debt that you owe.

Well, even if you do pay in full what is owed, DH is gonna be out 15-30% since a collections agency got involved. So if you really wanted to make well, you'd pay what's owing plus the collections fee and at that point you'd probably be squared away in his book.

He shouldn't have to. If anything, you should apologize for having this debt for so long. DH didn't seem to do anything wrong from the posts I've read. If its credibility you're looking to get back, a good start would be paying your debts. You can't hold the money waiting for an apology.

if you know anything about marketing, you know that when you put something out there thats unexpected (like you paying the bill) and someone experiences more than could have been expected (like paying the bill plus the collection fee or any interest with no whining or demanding attached) people WILL say good things about you and the word will spread that you are an alright guy for paying up and even paying extra.

but if u try to make demands before you pay a bill that you are owed, that does nothing for your character in the court of public opinion.

just pay the fucking money dont worry about it any longer and its over with, if he still holds a grudge, the ball is in his court. but at least you payed up on your part.

just write him a check for $1500, make a screenshot of it and also include a letter that says sorry for being late... and send it in the mail and your goodwill will show to all

Well, you've had about ten non-biased intermediaries in this thread already, all have told you flat out to pay your debt immediately. Allow me to be number 11. DH doesn't own you anything, you owe him. Pay up, now, and if somewhere down the road he decides to let everyone know that you squared up, that would be nice of him. You can't complain that he called you a scammer and demand an apology before you pay, because until you pay up you ARE a scammer.

Kareem also keep in mind if you do pay this $1500 oweing, I still have to pay the collections agency 25% of whatever I collect.

Hence even if I do collect from you it's still a slight loss to me, but I would be happy to settle the debt if we can get at least the $1500 paid.
