i always remember my first week in sociology 101 when one of the freshmen asked the prof what all the degree designations meant.

he said something like this (and with a straight face):

Mr. Adams, if you stay here 4 years and get a B.S., you are full of BullShit.

and spend another 18 months more here, and you've filled yourself with MoreShit. (M.S.)

and spend a couple more years after that and you get to be like me:

More Shit, just Piled Higher. and Deeper. (Ph.d)
