FSC West Coast Meeting May 26th

The next FSC Membership Meeting will be held at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, California on Thursday, May 26 at 5:30 pm. The Federal Lobbyist and new Communications Director will attend along with other FSC staff and the Board of Directors to meet and greet the members over hors D?oeuvres and drinks. Aubrey C. King, our new Washington, D.C. representative, brings more than a decade of lobbying experience to the FSC team. At the meeting, Aubrey will present a report to the membership on the political environment in our nation?s capital, recent national attacks on the industry, and FSC federal lobbying efforts to protect your rights. He will then field questions from the membership. Tom Hymes, former Editor of AVN Online, brings years of industry and communications experience to the FSC team as the new Communication Director. He will be responsible for public relations, editorial and media-related duties, oversight of publications and the websites, as well as development and execution of advertising and marketing campaigns. Tom will address members briefly on his ideas for the creation and dissemination of research projects and the formation and advancement of FSC public education and media advocacy campaigns and materials. Members of the FSC Government & Legal Committee will be on hand to answer questions about the pending 2257 litigation. New and continuing members will have the opportunity to pay their dues, make a donation to the 2257 fund, and pick up recent FSC publications and products. Finally, the meeting will end in networking with a no-host bar.
