What constitutes a "megasite?"
 

I've been seeing more and more sites that use this verbage.
What are the requirements to call a site a "megasite?"

I remember "megasites" as being sites with a crapload of low quality content in a variety of niches, with lots of plugins. Basically high volume/low quality/non exclusive.

well yeah.
but lets say you were a surfer and you saw the word "megasite."
what would you expect to see inside?

Ehm, what I said. I probably wouldn't join because of that, either.
I always thought "megasites" were for the uneducated surfers, or those with very non-specific tastes.

I always got the impression that megasites were sites that just purchased all the available non-exlclusive content and plugins they could find for a broad niche. I mean, teen megasites, cumshot megasites... but it's not like you're going to find a gay midget fisting megasite.

In my experience, a teen megasite will have exactly the same content as a pornstar megasite or a cumshot megasite :1orglaugh

Mega sites are good for business.

Megasite = 150,000 pics from the early 90s no one wants to see + 100 plugins.
