Would you promote music?
 

I know a lot of adult web masters also own mainstream websites ranging from varied subjects. I know I do..

One of my companies is a record label of which is preparing to release its first official album. (we just got angel funding) and one of the things I plan to do is host an MP3 version of the album for digital sales. To help promote the MP3 album I plan to host a 50% affiliate program to allow webmasters to make a cut.

This will be the first time I have ever seen any type of affiliate program for MP3's on the internet in over 4 years. Will it work? Would you promote it?

I am planning on going through CCbill.

Hopefully this isn't considered spam. I just know many webmasters have many sites so I thought it might be decent for discussion. How do you feel about MP3 affiliate programing?

Hmm... nice idea. Im playing in a band (Rockatansky). We release our second cd tomorrow (yes I am thrilled). Getting some fans from affiliates pushing us, seems like a great idea. And I guess the record label we're on would think that too...?!
