Lights for shooting video/stills indoor?
Whats an inexpensive portable light for shooting some amateur model stuff indoors? How many minimum are required? Is one enough?

The cheapest trick is to get a a shop/flood light from somewhere like Home Depot. You should be able to get a pair of these 500W halogen work lights mounted on a stand for about $30. They create an impressive amount of light, but also get dangerously hot, so be careful where you place them.

As for how many, I generally recommend three. Here is a link to a short tutorial on Three Point Lighting. Media College has other tutorials you might find handy as well. Browse around. Good luck, ADG Webmaster |
This place also has a nice assortment of continous lighting kits, and are pretty helpful if you call them with questions...
