Spend the extra $200 and get the XT. You will be MUCH happier with that decision. I tested out the XT and I'm extremely impressed with it. I couldn't say the same about the previous generation.

Edit: The Canon factory package includes the charger. A 1 gig Compact Flash retails for around $70.

I agree with the XT suggestion. It's a much smaller version of the Rebel, with all the features PLUS some, and it's an 8 megapixel camera.

The main size difference comes in the battery. It lasts every bit as long but is tiny and adds only 2 oz to the body weight... thus making the total size smaller (at roughly 19oz).

it's a pretty good deal.. i would get it.. and ill give you the link to the crack... you can crack the software and it runs just like the 10d... they use the same board inside, but features are just restricted :winkwink:
