the problems with eurovision
- if you are a country with either, loads of borders, or loads of islands near you, you have a big chance of winning - i could do the votes of certain countries myself, like the baltics, greece for cyprus and the scandinavians. - The only important countries consistantly finish last. Important countries arent having wars all the time which split the countries up (yugoslavia) into like 5 different countries that can all share the high points. - When foreigners try to write a song in english is usually turns out to be total shite, like the greek one, and loads of others. Ahh well, rant over, and im sure ill watch it next year. One question to mr greece up the top of this thread, why did greece give 12 to cyprus, is it because it was a great song, or because the competition is totally corrupt. Evan |

If there's no songs that stands out, neighbors will vote for each other. If there's a song that really stands out, like last year, it will win no matter what. |

I think this year won one of the best song in eurovision. I am from Macedonia and I don't realy like Greece but they have a nice song. My favourite was Moldova.
|
people actually take eurovision seriously?
|
after us bulgarians got canned because of our shitty song I was rooting for Greece.
Glad my people gave the 12 points to Elena |

Kinda funny that they used a more Greek version of her name Elena instead of her real name Helena :)

Holland always gives Turkey high points. That's not because we like Turkey so much, but because they are a lot of Turkish people in our country! :1orglaugh

The Balkans stuck together, next year we'll have to be outvoted or we're going to be #1 again :D
|
ROMANIA IS ON THIRD PLACE :upsidedow
|
The Romanian team should have won with the best song, voice, and stageshow ...
But what can you do when Eurovision is not about song quality but about neighbor countries/islands, immigrants and historical ties ... The Balkan countries vote for each other (Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, the Baltic states vote for each other and for the Scandinavians (oh, yeah, this time, the Swiss were Estonians in fact), the Scandinavians/Iceland vote for each other and the Baltics, Greece always gives 12 points to Cyprus and Cyprus 12 points to Greece, the many Turks from Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, France vote massively for Turkey, so do other immigrants, including Greek communities from other European countries, Slavs vote for each other plus neighbors, Russian minorities from the Baltic states, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus vote massively for Russia, Romanians vote for Moldova with 12 points, while Moldova votes according to their ethnic distribution - Romanians, Russians and Ukrainians, Romanian and Moldovan immigrants in Spain and Portugal gave their countries maximum points, and the same would have been from Italy, should that country not rejected this bullshit song contest, Andorra gives Spain 12 points and France 10 points, Spain to Portugal and viceversa, Belgium to Holland and viceversa, Monaco votes for France with 12 points, Albania, Bosnia and Turkey give each other many points due to their muslim affiliations, Israel gets many points from the Jewish communities in many European countries, Bulgaria to neighbors, Hungary from neighboring minorities, all in one it is all a BULLSHIT contest! Regardless of the song quality for next year, here you have (more or less) the points given at Eurovision 2006: Cyprus 12 pts to Greece (100% sure, always be) 10 pts to Malta Greece 12 pts to Cyprus (100% sure, always be) Bosnia 12 pts to Croatia 10 pts to Serbia 8 pts to Macedonia 7 pts to Slovenia 6 pts to Albania Croatia 12 pts to Bosnia 10 pts to Serbia 8 pts to Macedonia 7 pts to Slovenia Serbia 12 pts to Bosnia 10 pts to Croatia 8 pts to Macedonia 7 pts to Slovenia Slovenia 12 pts to Bosnia 10 pts to Croatia 8 pts to Macedonia 7 pts to Serbia Macedonia 12 pts to Albania 10 pts to Serbia 8 pts to Croatia 7 pts to Slovenia 6 pts to Bosnia Albania 12 pts to Macedonia 10 pts to Turkey 8 pts to Greece Andorra 12 pts to Spain 10 pts to France Turkey 12 pts to Bosnia 10 pts to Albania 8 pts to Greece (to promote friendship among peoples :) ) Austria 12 pts to Germany 10 ts to Turkey Holland 12 pts to Turkey 10 pts to Belgium 8 pts to Denmark Denmark 12 pts to Sweden 10 pts to Norway 8 pts to Finland 7 pts to Iceland Norway 12 pts to Denmark 10 pts to Norway 8 pts to Finland 7 pts to Iceland Sweden 12 pts to Denmark 10 pts to Norway 8 pts to Finland 7 pts to Iceland 6 pts to Estonia 5 pts to Latvia 4 pts to Lithuania Finland 12 pts to Denmark 10 pts to Norway 8 pts to Estonia 7 pts to Iceland 6 pts to Sweden 5 pts to Latvia 4 pts to Lithuania Iceland 12 pts to Denmark 10 pts to Norway 8 pts to Finland 7 pts to Sweden Estonia 12 pts to Latvia (this year it was to Switzerland because the team was in fact from Estonia, go figure ...) 10 pts to Lithuania 8 pts to Russia 7 pts to Finland 6 pts to Sweden 5 pts to Norway 4 pts to Denmark Latvia 12 pts to Estonia 10 pts to Lithuania 8 pts to Russia 7 pts to Finland 6 pts to Sweden 5 pts to Norway 4 pts to Denmark Lithuania 12 pts to Latvia 10 pts to Estonia 8 pts to Russia 7 pts to Finland 6 pts to Sweden 5 pts to Norway 4 pts to Denmark Spain 12 pts to Romania 10 pts to Portugal 8 pts to France 7 pts to Moldova Portugal 12 pts to Romania 10 pts to Moldova 8 pts to Spain Russia 12 pts to Belarus 10 pts to Ukraine 8 pts to Moldova 7 pts to Serbia Ukraine 12 pts to Russia 10 pts to Belarus 8 pts to Moldova 7 pts to Poland 6 pts to Lithuania Belarus 12 pts to Russia 10 pts to Ukraine Monaco 12 pts to France Bulgaria 12 pts to Greece 10 pts to Turkey 8 pts to Serbia 7 pts to Romania 6 pts to Moldova Romania 12 pts to Moldova 10 pts to Hungary Moldova 12 pts to Russia 10 pts to Ukraine 8 pts to Romania Germany 12 pts to Turkey France 8 pts to Turkey Belgium 12 pts to France 10 pts to Holland 8 pts to Turkey Israel 8 pts to Romania plus getting many points from other countries - what I don't understand is why Isrrael is included in this contest? They are from Asia, not Europe. This is the map of the next Eurovision, if you wanna win, you have to get the remaining points beyond these already allocated. Enjoy the BULLSHIT :) |
