Do SE spiders ignore anything in < > tags?
If I put <> tags around some text I don't want google or yahoo to see yet will they ignore it?
|
I use <strong></strong> around some words in my blog text, doesn't ignore it. Just a thought. Bump.
|
If I type <don't read this> in an html page it doesn't get displayed. I don't want google to see duplicate content until I go in and change up the wording so I'm wondering if they'll just pass it by.

Why would you do this in the fiest place? but yea, I don't think spiders index html tags....

yes they read in < >
They do that to see if there are any errors in html coding, if they find many errors (or any) the page will not be shown (indexed) |
Just do it with the commenting format then:
<!-- Blabla.. --> or: <!-- Blabla-line#1 Blabla-line#2 --> Won't penalize and won't be any different from what You've already thought of doing. :) |
