spyware/adware shit in my browser
 
whenever my IE6 is opened i get some unwanted pop-ups and trojans and i cant get rid of them. i tried with norton antivirus, lavasoft ad-aware but with no luck.. :( any ideas ?

Try doing a system restore at a point before you think you got the virus/spyware/malware.

If that doesn't work,

Spycatcher
CounterSpy (rated #1 in some popular mags, will NOT work with microsoft antiware installed)
Neuber.com task monitor

Don't forget to run your virus protection too
pandasoftware.com
grisoft.com
f-secure.com

run them several times--- Hopefully the system restore point will do it for you

try SpywareBlaster and Spybot - Search and Destroy
i have yet to experience any spyware problems

Go into safe mode before running your cleaner programs. They can't remove files that are in use while Windows is running.

All browsers need to have proper prevention and run maintainence. No browser is immune, just different sized targets and the alternative browsers will have a growing problem as their numbers grow.:2 cents:
