Buuut... on the real, looks like Fungi offered some good advice. You have to pay them something or you're asking for possible legal trouble. They could take you to court and demand money for their work later on, claiming that they didn't know you would profit from their work, etc.

I think that's more in the contract than it is in the payment... as long as the contract explicitly contains all possible important stuff, she should be safe.
