Try this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...ed+by+phpbb%22 and try to go to the second results page.

What that message tells me is that yes, they are being DDOSED and all the ghost boxes are on your network. Quick solution, stop all connections from your network. Easiest way to find out is to ask someone in your area with you ISP if they recieve the message too.

I could be wrong, but thats whats it looks like. I'm sure you yourself aren't one of the dummy boxes but.. might as well scan to be on the safe side.

I wasn't aware that google blocked certain search terms. I've never seen that error message before.. interesting

There are ways to get around Google's query blocks. I've seen quite a few.

They block "powered by phpbb", but you can get the same results with "powered * phpbb"

Probably a crappy firewall that thinks X amount of requests is too many....maybe why you're getting the message.

Nah, I just checked for rating of our new teen site, so I just entered "nubileones", but forgot to disable my Mexican proxy. when i did this search again (under my regular Russian IP) everything was ok.

However, if Google blocks Mexican proxies it seems they are really DDOS-ed from that network for sure. Because just a hour ago it was ok even under Mexican IP...

Stop automated queries to exploit/virus/spam and you will not see this message.
Or get a real tool to harvest.

Not necessarily. I've heard rumors that Google blocks IPs who perform suspicious queries (i.e. how to build a bomb). It could be that another person who used the Mexican proxy around the time you did performed such queries and was blocked.

A friend of mine was banned from google after writing a result rebranding script that removed ads, and replaced "Google" with "Aonic" (his alias) .

There was once a phpBB worm that defaced lots and lots of forums using a PHP vulnerability, and it found vulnerable targets by going through google search results.

A while ago I saw a list of queries that were banned, and the only query I remembered was "powered by phpbb". There were about 25 on that list
