This web host is pissing me off. Need advice...
 

Hello.

I won't mention any names, but I do need advice here.

The recent move from my shared hosting account to a dedicated server was ANYTHING but a smooth one.

The server took over one week to setup, and this does not include anything custom such as installation of any special software, it was a simple server with CentOS. The HSphere control panel proved too difficult for them to install (which was fine) so I went and paid PSoft to install it. I had been asking that my websites (from the shared server) be moved to my dedicated server for nearly a week. In the 2-3 days it took PSoft to install HSphere my websites had still not been moved over. It is now 2-3 weeks since I placed the initial order for the dedicated server and there is still nothing on the server except a fresh install of HSphere. Also I asked that the MySQL databases from my websites be moved to the new dedicated server's 'localhost'. To make matters worse for some reason my login from my previous account is no longer active because somebody deleted it. I am now expected to list all of the MySQL database names from my websites (probably 10-15 databases) along with their respective usernames/passwords. And as if that wasn't enough, nobody seems to want to reply to my e-mails - yes I've been annoying, but with good reason!

The last support ticket I sent (before filing a complaint this morning) was about 24 hours ago, still no reply. Nobody on Live Chat can help me and nobody is responding on ICQ.

Please help me out on this issue. Let me know if you have any comments/advice. :mad:

I don't know who your company is, but I'd move the hell offa there. Seems like they have enough business without you. Fuck 'em.

Sounds like it´d be best to simply find a new provider....

I´m considering moving away from my current supplier of dedicated server too, simply too many probs all the time - and I always have to discover them myself.

Move before it gets worse. You're going to lose a lot of money with that kind of bull.

I learned a while ago that when this shit happens, you leave them NOW and go elsewhere otherwise you will be fucked again in 2 weeks, then again 2 months from now and again 5 months from now... The fucking will not stop and you will be wondering why you didn't take V_RocKs advice to move out NOW!

Your crazy to put up with that shit, wait till you really need them for some emergency like a dos, bad drive, hacked server, etc, etc

You should get a different host asap and cut your losses

If they're screwing you around like that now... well.. just get a better host now..

Seems you have to purchase bandwidth beforehand or?

you need to move for sure I wouldnt cope with that, check my sig m3 their support is a LOT better then that for sure, been there 2 yrs and they rock!

nope - you order a dedicated server and get it with a certain amount of bandwidth included in your monthly fee.

and then lean back and enjoy while they do the work - i had some concerns in the beginning cause i was used to do everything by myself, but today i have to say i never did a better move regarding that hosting issue.
