Inexpensive Video Camera that can transfer to laptop via USB?

I need a small video camera for amateur video, maybe 10 minute sequences, that I can transfer to a laptop or desktop via USB (without having to buy firewire or video capture card).

Any such thing available? I would prefer one that can shoot well in low lighting conditions, like in dim lit hotel rooms at night, or neon lit streets in the night.

$600

Thanks. Is that the cheapest I can find for my need? Or would a tape one that transfer over USB be cheaper? Cos I think DVDCams are newer so maybe more expensive.

when you choose a camcorder, check out the Pro Reviews. they include videos and sound from the cameras in there.
