Can someone explain to me why the robot in Ep 3 has tuberculosis?

For not having lungs it didn't make much sense. The thing had a heart and some eyeballs, but that was about it.

George Lucas is also absolutely horrible at writing dialogue.

Windu force crushed him as he was kidnapping the chancellor. From the Clone Wars Cartoon.

He had more organs... then Windu crushed his chest like a sardine can. It would lead me to assume that something was damaged?

Trying to make the connection to R.O.T.J
When Vader gets hit with the Emperors lightning and messes up his breathing. Grievious was injured in the clone wars. A little inside to the geeks that know the backstory.
Yes, Lucas is alittle weak with dialogue. But he is trying to make the characters sound and talk different. They are from another galaxy afterall. Movies are a suspension of disbelief. If you can't let go of little details for a couple of hours, you are wound too tight.

I understand he was injured in the clone wars, but still... the dude didn't have lungs. Why would he be coughing them up?
