Need a good book to read!

I'm looking for something good to read, entertaining yet intelligent. Something like The Fountainhead, Atomized, South of the Border - that type of stuff.

The Fountainhead is a bit cerebral for this crowd I'm afraid.

Do you like Sci-fi? There's a nice two-book series by Nivens & Pournel entitled "The moat in God's eye".... very well-done.

Guess this means my suggestion of the Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice isn't what you're looking for. My bad.

I'm pretty sure I already read that a few years ago, but thanks.
