What kind of price tag will that carry???

I think that one of the reasons they may be working on something like this, is because of the system that is being tested by several electric companies.

Libertine 05-18-2005 07:47 PM

There's a company offering 40 mbps for $90 a month over here.

jigg 05-18-2005 08:01 PM

it never said soon but sometimes in feuture. whenever that might be

200Mbps is impossible at the moment without implementing Docsis 3.0 and you buy another modem AND router that's at least 10/100/1000

VeriSexy 05-18-2005 08:46 PM

I would love 200mbps............ Maybe in 10 years it will be here :Oh crap

riddler 05-18-2005 09:12 PM

10 years my ass, it will be here in a few years, America is currently implementing broadband over the electric lines which will do something like 1gb a second or some shit, Crazy what we are doing, But also with the new broadband in electric lines it cuts off short wave radio users to communicate over seas

Still waiting for the 5 Mbps upgrade that some customers already have. That what I hate about Charter some places get stuff YEARS before others. when Comcast got NFL network EVERYONE got it at the same time. With Charter I finally got it 9 MONTHS after some customers got it. I just recent had HDTV on VOD made available even though Charter customers in the next county have had it for over a year.

I was never happy when comcast when I lived in or visited the areas they served. The digital cable sucked, the cable modem download and upload speeds sucked... bah.

I thought I read something where some Swedish scientists had figured out a way to send a gig/sec .. Enabling the ability to send a dvd movie in 4 seconds! At that rate you'd have to worry about a new modem, router, and probably a new computer!

or...

(shameless plug)

Just use a free XTV box since a computer isn't required :thumbsup
