2257Approved?

I was told that yesterday the 2257 Revisions were approved...
The revisions are here:
http://my.execpc.com/~xxxlaw/2257Table.htm

I run a free site... www.blackoutsteens.com and I don't know what I should do. I'm in the US with a US server selling US content and other content... I don't have 2257 Info on these models, because... they aren't my models.

soooo, what's going to happen, should I take my site down, should I request the file cabinets from my sponsors and clear a spot in the closet or what?

Those are just the proposed revisions, not the actual revisons. Please be patient and wait until the new law is published and then go on from there. Its impossible to tell you what to do until we know what the exact law is

I was told they were approved yesterday... how much longer should I wait?

Can't we keep all of this to know thread?

sicone 05-18-2005 02:37 PM

they were signed yesterday and will go into effect 30 days after being published. They have not been published at this time, but I imagine they will be within the next day or so

This is the only thread I've seen. Sorry.

Well why wait then? Why wait til after they are published and everyone is breaking the law at that point?

Because you will get 30 days to comply from when it is entered into the register.

did you see the part of my post that said they will go into effect 30 days after being published. this is to give everyone time to get compliant with the new changes.

Until you know exactly what ahs been changed, how can you make your business compliant. Simple logic, relax the sky is not falling
