Antivirus Solutions.

Norton blows cock ... Kaspersky I have found to be the best so far IMO

What do you use?

StuartD 05-18-2005 11:00 AM

norton, but only for fun... for the most part, I've done very well with nothing at all. I monitor my machines pretty closely and can spot anything fishy a mile away.

yeah, it is risky.... but I've got a pretty good track record so far. Like I said, I'm good at spotting them, and avoiding them... including worms.

But even now I still have norton's running in the bg, just to be even more safe.

Filter your email at the server if it's for your own domains... http://www.clamav.net

Works great.

Same here, AntiVir kicks ass. Plus 100% free.

woj 05-18-2005 11:21 AM

avg is pretty good, and free too...

MikeVega 05-18-2005 11:22 AM

I've been using AVG ( http://www.grisoft.com/doc/40/lng/ww ) and the free one ..seems to work well ...better then Norton ....

cypocrypt 05-18-2005 11:36 AM

I've been using mcafee suite (av/firewall/spyware detector/spam killer)for some time now and it gets the job done...i like it a lot better than norton

loverboy 05-18-2005 12:01 PM

PC-Cillin Internet Security 2005, Norton is one piece of shit

:smokin

psili 05-18-2005 12:04 PM

McAffee
LavaSoft Adaware
Microsot Anti-spyware beta
Spybot - Search & Destory

-- plus a router firewall, windows firewall and Mcaffee's firewall. Pretty fucked up to run all that, if you ask me, but I haven't had a virus or anything in ages *knock on wood*.

BuggyG 05-18-2005 12:06 PM

used to have norton.. got rid of it for AVG
used to slow down pc too much and AVG gets a lot more then norton used to

Dirty Dane 05-18-2005 12:11 PM

Norton
Besides that Adwarespy is probably the out there:
http://www.adwarespy.com/#features
100000 times better than others. I compared it with other proggies and it found a lot more that the others didnt, and it turned out to be some nasty stuff :thumbsup

HarrytheNazi 05-18-2005 01:09 PM

Panda is ok with me.

FiReC 05-18-2005 01:11 PM

zone labs internet suite, spam detection on it sucks but the anti virus and firewall are good.

Head 05-18-2005 01:11 PM

Macintosh

Sosa 05-18-2005 01:31 PM

go with avg free, does a pretty good job. stay away from all norton products. I would have thought you learned that by now.
