CCBill: Answer to the Confusion On Changes, Or Not, To Your Acceptable Use Policy

As previously posted by Brad Mitchell,

these two articles totally contradict each other:

http://www.avn.com/articles/227053.html (CCBill: No More Watersports, Violent Content)

and

http://xbiz.com/news_piece.php?id=8787 (CCBill Says It Has No Plans to Change Policy)

Will you be processing bdsm and watersports? This isn't a question for extreme violence as that is already out in your AUP, but it is a question for the others.

Answers please.

It's bad news if CCBill is going to do that; means someone's scaring them to me..

Matt

Brad Mitchell 05-18-2005 11:53 AM

After thinking about this, I remember when I owned Sinbucks, my affiliate program.

Whenever CCBill effected a policy change, they would either announce it on the boards themselves or they would email their clients or post it on their site.

My recommendation would be to contact your CCBill rep for clarification. That's what I'm suggesting to my hosting clients, especially in light of two conflicting articles posted.

Interesting. None of my clients have received an announcement from CCBill. There have been no announcements from CCBill on the boards or in email or on their site.

They are very good about letting their clients know if there are any changes in their policies.

Bansheelinks 05-18-2005 12:27 PM

all they'd have to do is have a rep come on here and clear this up.

andrej_NDC 05-18-2005 12:31 PM

Both articles, on AVN and also XBIZ are wrong, ccbill is going to release a statement soon.

Dude.... pick up the damn phone and call your rep. 1-888-906-0666

Why in gods name would you or anyone else rely on a board post for information that would concern your business?

Go to the damn source.

Simply incredible.

Ok I know you are not serious with that statement.

Think about it. if you were CCbill would you rather have a bunch of kids on a message board speculating about their new policies or have 1000 webmasters calling them. Theres a reason why ccbill does not respond to threads like this. Catch a clue man and dial the phone.

I dont see ccbill endorsing the message board metheod of relayiing information. Think about it, if there wanted to get infomation out that way, they would have a message board of their own. Fuck, they do over a billon in sales a year.

looks like you haven't been around long and may have your head up your ass;
ccbill constantly uses this board to post replies and even start threads full of info. you don't know what you are talking about.

Corvett post in areas where its a tech issue or basic issues and never discusses the issue here on the board. Show me a thread. Marks clear responses are always. "hit me up on icq and I will see what I can do to help you". I have rarely if ever seen ccbill post its policies in response to a thread like this.

But, of course, you are right and the guy with a low post count must have his "head up his ass". LOL

Show me the thread of ccbill dicussing policy and I will shut up. Its emailed to the progam owners and posted in the webmaster admin when theres a policy change.... not a message board..... as it should be.

Good luck

SureFire 05-18-2005 07:50 PM

CCbill, if you are reading this post...

http://www.bloodbitch.com/ seems like it hurts more than pissing shower and you are the processor.

Care to make a post explaining your policy about watersports?

BTW, to each their own and what I might find painful on the internet might not be to another person, who am I to judge? :)
